The third-generation Aventon Level is the latest model, featuring a few upgrades compared to the best-selling Aventon Level 2. The Aventon Level is a versatile commuter e-Bike that nails the essentials urban riders care about most. Its relaxed frame offers a comfortably upright position without sacrificing efficiency, and you can choose between step-thru or step-over styles. Aventon keeps fit simple with two frame sizes— Regular (4'11"–5'7") and Large (5'7"–6'1")— so most riders can find a solid match. Practical touches like full fenders, a sturdy rear rack, and integrated lights make it fully city-ready right from the start.

The Level 3 runs on a 500W rear hub motor, and this updated version swaps in a torque sensor for a noticeably smoother, more natural-feeling ride. By measuring how firmly you pedal, it delivers just the right amount of assist. Among electric bikes in this price range, Aventon consistently stands out for refined, well-controlled acceleration.

Out of the box, the Level ships as a Class 2 e-Bike with pedal assist and throttle support up to 20 mph, but you can unlock Class 3 speeds for faster pedal-assist riding. A 672 Wh (Level 2) or 708 Wh (Level 3) removable battery is cleanly integrated into the downtube and offers up to 60 miles of range when riding in the lowest assist setting.

The Aventon Level is a purpose-built commuter e-Bike, well-equipped to withstand the wear and tear of everyday urban riding. The Level 2 isn’t the sleekest or lightest option on the market, but its sturdy build works in its favor. That said, the newer Level 3 model is significantly sleeker and streamlined than its predecessor. There’s a front suspension fork that smooths out cracks, potholes, and rougher surfaces, giving it the versatility to handle both city streets and light gravel with confidence.

The 27.5" tires strike a sweet balance, delivering solid traction and stability. Stopping performance is solid thanks to hydraulic disc brakes that offer consistent, predictable control. Aventon also opted for a Shimano 8-speed drivetrain with a trigger shifter, a welcome upgrade over the clunky, old-school SiS shifters still found on many other entry-level e-Bikes.
